  1. Prodigy: Do 20 minutes, but make sure you’re in the right class!
We are Woollcombe 2019. If you’re not in, do this:
Your class code is: 1C5FC7
Students sign in to their Prodigy account, select update on the start screen, and enter your class code.

  1. Next we need to play with Google Sites.
Just follow along on the instructions. This works way better on a bigger screen - I don’t know if it can be done on a phone.
Step 1:
-go to the New Google Sites Page https://sites.google.com/new
Comments? Issues?
-press this
Very bottom right corner
Now give it a name:
Name needs to at least include your first name. No, “Send It” is not OK.
Do the Main Page Title (it can be the same as the site name)

IMPORTANT!! Go here:
This is how we make this a private page. Your privacy matters.
You need to hit Change on this setting

Make it look like this, then hit Save
I actually asked Google for this feature. Google listened to me!!
Now add me so I can see your work
You can add other viewers too. That’s up to you.
Hit DONE

Hit Publish

Do it again:
When you make changes later on, hit Publish every once in a while. It works like SAVE.
Now play! Find features… see what you can do. Can you change backgrounds? Insert text boxes? Don’t worry, you can’t break it and you can always start again. PLAY!!

We’ll get a bit more serious about this tomorrow, but you just need to get this far (or try to!) today.

  1. Photography or Drawing!!
Lines. There are great big lines around us all the time. We use these big lines as borders, as features, all sorts of things!

Here’s my piano. It’s full of lines! (also playing with focus like the last assignment)

Now you try! Find things that feature Lines. Photo or draw (then take a pic of the drawing and attach). Black and white filters can help too if you’re into that.

  1. Book Check-in. Also don’t forget to do at least 30 minutes real reading!!

Character from my book:
Tell me all about that character. Not what they are doing, but who they are:

The Home Stretch

Wow- this has gone really fast and kinda slow at the same time. To paraphrase a friend of mine, "Time is sorta sticky this year!"...
