2. Freaky Way To Subtract from 1000! Try this and answer the question at the end:

Subtracting from 1,000

Here’s a basic rule to subtract a large number from 1,000: Subtract every number except the last from 9 and subtract the final number from 10

For example:

1,000 – 573

Step 1: Subtract 5 from 9 = 4

Step 2: Subtract 7 from 9 = 2

Step 3: Subtract 3 from 10 = 7

The answer is 427

3. Math Choices (the one above was just for fun)

• Open up the Math Choices April 20 and pick one for Tuesday. 
• Put your answer / thinking in your Math Journal (also attached). 
• You’ll need to copy and paste the question into the journal 

so I know which one you’re answering.

4. Photography: Art Gallery!!

• Find a great pic or drawing or painting you’ve done. 
• Tweak it with editing software.
• Post it to the stream.
